It’s time for Celtic to make some moves in the summer transfer market.
Despite the domestic campaign ending last month, players are still on international duty, and the upcoming Club World Cup is taking place in America.
Quite a fair few Celtic players still haven’t gone on their breaks yet, after winning the double under Brendan Rodgers last term.
Then there are those who the champions of Scotland are keen to sign, also showing their worth on the international stage.
Last week, Scotland were humiliated by Iceland in an international friendly at Hampden, with the players getting booed off after the full-time whistle.
So, on Monday, Steve Clarke made a few changes, and it worked a treat.

Celtic’s transfer target Lennon Miller shines on his first Scotland start
Lennon Miller has been linked to Celtic for some while now, and now he is making himself known on the international stage.
The 18-year-old was handed his first start for Scotland as they thrashed Liechtenstein 4-0 in Vaduz, with Miller earning himself an assist as Che Adams struck a hat-trick.
The Motherwell star started alongside John McGinn, Billy Gilmour and Lewis Ferguson, as he got a taste of what it’s like playing under a spotlight, and he was lauded by the national media.
‘A productive evening for the teenager on his first Scotland start,’ wrote The National.
‘Miller never hid, constantly showing for the ball and attempting line-breaking passes, the majority of which came off. Did well in the press to regain possession deep in Liechtenstein territory for Che Adams’ second of the night.
‘Miller remained composed after winning the ball back before playing it to the striker, who did the rest. The 18-year-old is now just one Scotland cap behind his old man, Lee. 8/10.’
‘An excellent full debut,’ wrote the Scotsman. ‘Created the opening goal when his sliced shot was directed in by Che Adams, before his high-pressing then ensured Scotland took full advantage of a poor goal kick from the Liechtenstein goalkeeper for the second.
‘Positive throughout, he created five chances for his team and always wanted to get on the ball. Pulled off a sublime piece of skill on 68 minutes to showcase his limitless confidence. Lived up to the hype on his international debut’. 9/10′.
Edinburgh News added: ‘Outstanding. Grasped his big chance to impress here. Was involved in most of Scotland’s positive attacking play. Neat little one-two combinations, and his challenge was crucial in the lead up to the second goal. Really caught the eye. A first cap of many. 9/10’.
Celtic’s midfield next season
Last summer, Celtic sold Matt O’Riley to Brighton for a club record transfer, and then brought in Arne Engels for £11 million.
Engels has divided opinion during his time in Glasgow, added to the fact that Reo Hatate’s future is up in the air, and Callum McGregor needs more help.
Players like Paulo Bernardo and Luke McCowan will want more starts next term, but there is certainly room for Miller to come in.
| Tournament | Miller’s games | Goals | Assists | MotM | Rating |
