Ange Postecoglou has had it rough since he took over at Tottenham Hotspur.
The former Celtic boss has seen his side struggle with injuries with critics ramping up their negative opinions on the Australian.
Postecoglou is clearly a winner having lifted five trophies in two years at Parkhead which earned him the move to Spurs in the first place.
But that has not prevented his doubters from having their say with the likes of Jamie O’Hara and Robbie Savage in particular having pops at the 59-year-old in recent weeks.
Chairman Daniel Levy has also been quiet where it comes to backing his boss albeit the Aussie is still in a job despite recent sack calls and even some criticism from his own supporters.
Although that backing appears to have come on deadline day in the form of Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel who looks set to join the North London outfit on loan.
Tel appeared to reject the club earlier in the window before making a U-turn on that decision with Manchester United also keen on the 19-year-old.

According to Sky Sports, Ange had a big hand in landing the French forward after having a lengthy conversation with the playmaker to explain exactly where he sees the youngster fitting in his system.
Speaking on SSN, pundit Jen Beattie – who played for Celtic, Arsenal and Manchester City before retiring this year – insists she is not surprised in the slightest at Postecoglou winning over the loan signing after a chat.
She revealed how she has always heard from his time at Parkhead that he is a good deal closer.
And like many Hoops players in the past, Tel is just another in a long line of footballers who wants to play Angeball, albeit in the Premier League.
Beattie said on her punditry duties this morning: “I always heard stories from his Celtic days about his motivational speeches.
“So I can completely see that being the case here.”

Matt O’Riley was one player who told how an Ange phone call convinced him to make a switch to Glasgow where he was fantastic.
Just after his move in 2022, O’Riley had clubs chasing his signature.
But the minute Postecoglou rang him, he knew he had to leave MK Dons for Celtic.
And he said at the time: “There were other options, ones that I thought were the only ones before Celtic, then Celtic came out of the blue. I found out quite late.
“I had a phone call with Ange and he came across really, really well. He was the one who really sold me. Obviously, the club is massive but just speaking to him really just sorted it out for me.
“The style he plays, all that surrounds it, him as a person – as soon as I came off the phone I was ready to come, to be honest.”
