After that, transfer deadline day limped to its inevitable end with Celtic just adding Sebastian Tounekti to the squad.

Celtic fans were hoping to see at least one striker and two wingers added to the team on transfer deadline day.

As it stands right now, Tounekti is the only addition with hopes now being pinned on Kelechi Iheanacho joining Celtic now that his contract with Sevilla has been terminated.

Being left with the guts of a team that struggled to break down a ‘rank’ Rangers side in Sunday’s Glasgow Derby, Celtic supporters will not be happy, neither will Brendan Rodgers, after such a poor transfer window.
