What John Hartson has said about Nicolas Kuhn should worry Celtic’s opponents this season

Nicolas Kuhn has been something of a revelation at Celtic this season so far.

In eight appearances for Brendan Rodgers, Kuhn has scored five goals and created six as he makes his mark not only in Scotland but on the European scene with Celtic in the Champions League.

The German winger had a tough start to his Celtic career as he was struck down by illness when he joined the club back in January.

But now, with a full pre-season under his belt and back to full fitness, Nicolas Kuhn looks like a different player from the one that the Celtic fans saw at the beginning of the year.

And that is why John Hartson‘s verdict on the winger should worry Celtic’s opponents this season.

Hartson blown away by ‘tricky’ Nicolas Kuhn

The former Celtic hero was speaking about Kuhn after his eye-catching performances this season and believes that the former Rapid Vienna man is going to get better.

Hartson told The Go Radio Football Show, “Yeah, he was brilliant at the weekend. He was also very, very good against Bratislava in the Champions League last week. I like the way he’s just so positive.

“He gets on the ball, doesn’t really want to play it backwards, looks to go forward all the time, he’s quick.

“He’s very tricky with the ball at his feet. And I like the goal he set up for Kyogo last week as well, when he almost got to the byline and just hit it across the goal line and Kyogo was in there like all good strikers should be.

“I think he’s a terrific player. He’s got pace. And I think the longer that he’s at Celtic and the more games he plays, I think he’s one of those that will only get better.”

Nicolas Kuhn looking the real deal at Celtic

After initial doubts about Kuhn’s ability, the German was proving a lot of people wrong at the end of last season during the title race and has continued to do so this season.

Now finding goals and assists, Kuhn is now showing signs of being the player that convinced Brendan Rodgers to shell out £3m for him in January.

Now looking like the real deal, if Hartson is correct and the Celtic winger is going to improve even more this season, that should worry Celtic’s opponents considering how dangerous he is looking with just seven games of the domestic season gone.
