Adam Idah arrived at Celtic in January as Brendan Rodgers’ second and last signing of the January transfer window.
The on-loan Norwich striker has impressed Brendan Rodgers and the fans after he converted two high-pressure penalties against Hibs at Easter Road last week.
Making his debut against Aberdeen, Idah impressed with his physicality and in the 2-0 win over St Mirren in the Scottish Cup, Idah combined well with Kyogo Furuhashi for the opening goal.
However, John Hartson believes that Idah needs to do more to succeed at Celtic and the former Hoops hero has highlighted exactly what he needs to do to improve under Rodgers.
Hartson said [The Go Radio Football Show], “From what I’ve seen from Idah so far, I think he needs to learn the game a bit more.
“I think we might get some goals out of him, especially with the players around him like O’Riley and McGregor that can create opportunities for the front players.
“There was once or twice at the weekend there that he ran in behind and a midfielder wanted him to come into feet.
“I think he looked out of sync at times but he’s powerful. I just think he needs a little bit of work in terms of learning that centre-forward position.”
Adam Idah has potential to succeed at Celtic
The 22-year-old forward has shown in his short time at Celtic that he definitely has the potential to be a success in his loan spell.
With two goals and an assist to his name, Idah has done well to settle into the club in such a short period of time.

He also offers Celtic a different option upfront and you could see against Hibs that Rodgers did try to utilise his pace and power behind the Edinburgh side’s defence.
Idah was one of the best players on the park that night and picked up where he left off against St Mirren on Sunday.
If Idah can take Hartson’s advice onboard then hopefully there will be enough about the Norwich striker to help fire Celtic to the title this season.
