What clever Adam Idah did on Instagram after scoring for Celtic and booking Scottish Cup final ticket

There has been a lot of noise around Adam Idah of late.

Days after Celtic thrashed Kilmarnock in the Premiership, a game in which Idah started, videos seemingly started circulating of the striker on a night out, including how he got ‘sick in a taxi’.

Thankfully, Brendan Rodgers was quick to shut that down, and state how that wasn’t the case, but just a young lad enjoying a night out.

Either way, there was a spotlight on top of Idah as he prepared for a Scottish Cup semi-final showdown with St Johnstone on Sunday at Hampden.

Celtic put five goals past St Johnstone, including the Republic of Ireland star getting on the scoresheet after some brilliant work from Reo Hatate.

The best way to shut out the noise from the outside is by doing your talking on the field of play, and that’s exactly what Idah has done here.

If Rodgers is happy enough with the player, then that’s enough, as Idah also brilliantly shut off the comments section when he put up a post on Instagram.

And as the Irishman posted, it was a ‘massive result’ for Celtic and there are ‘a big couple of weeks to come’.

Idah’s future in Celtic’s XI

Daizen Maeda has gone goal crazy, and it has been pretty hard to dethrone him from that centre-forward role, but Rodgers has changed it up of late.

This is now Idah’s chance to cement his place as a regular starter, especially as the Premiership title could be won at Dundee United.

Then you have the Glasgow derby at Ibrox, and Idah likes scoring away from home in this fixture, before everyone will build up to the Scottish Cup final – and there is history there too.

This could be a perfect ending to the season for Idah.
