Celtic involved in confusing Michel-Ange Balikwisha reports

There seems to be nobody who really knows what’s going on when it comes to Michel-Ange Balikwisha’s transfer situation.

Royal Antwerp have said Balikwisha can go for the right price and the Bhoys have been linked with him for the best part of a year.

A direct comment from the winger’s agent claimed that Celtic hadn’t talked to Balikwisha despite the 24-year-old being open to joining the club.

However, another report said that Balikwisha was in talks with the Hoops and that they are progressing well.

Expect this one to rumble on.

Brendan Rodgers confessed that he wants more incomings after Shin Yamada officially joined last weekend and Louis Munteanu appears to be one of the names mentioned.

CRF Cluj manager Dan Petrescu praised Munteanu’s attitude in training after links to the Hoops, and even some claims that a bid in the region of £7m was rejected.

Celtic aren’t the only side that are linked with the Romanian forward and Cluj have agreed a fee with Rennes nearing £10m, as per the Daily Record.

Etienne Youte could be a cheap pick-up

A centre-back is still on Celtic’s shopping list due to the fans’ concerns around Liam Scales, as well as doubts over Auston Trusty.

Cameron Carter-Vickers will be at the heart of the back four and Le Havre defender Etienne Youte could be his new partner.

Youte could be sold on the cheap according to Le Havre’s president due to financial concerns and could be available for less than £5m.
