Celtic ‘make it difficult’ to buy Bernabei

Alexandro Bernabei has been close to a Hoops exit for weeks now with Internacional clear in their intentions to sign him after last term’s loan.

The Brazilian club sent their sporting director to Glasgow for a personal touch to try and find a deal but Celts knocked their bid back as it came up short.

Now the club’s head coach Roger Machado has claimed Celtic “make it difficult” for his club to get an agreement for Bernabei over the line.

He told Revista Colorada: “We are finalising the details of Bernabei. We hope to have him soon. There is a gap with those who are arriving. We live day by day.

“Inter has been putting together an operation to keep Bernabei since November. He was the best full-back in the Brasileirao.

“Obviously Celtic would make it difficult.”

Moro January Celtic move scrapped through injury

Celtic were linked with Raul Moro of Real Valladolid this window with the £8.5million-rated winger one of Brendan Rodgers’ targets as he seeks two wide players.

But those plans are likely to be scuppered now after the Spanish under-21s star was stretchered off against Espanyol with a suspected broken collarbone.

The playmaker could miss up to three months of action for his club which would obviously prevent a January move to Brendan Rodgers‘ side.

Barry bid from Celtic

Aston Villa don’t want to sell Louie Barry this month and are hopeful of giving him a new contract before sending him on loan again.

However that has not prevented Celtic from lodging a £5million bid plus add-ons for the young attacker they see as one player with significant potential.

Valle Celtic exit nearing

According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona have greenlit Alex Valle’s move to Como with Kieran Tierney closing in on a switch to Parkhead.

The domino is set to fall for the 20-year-old and it has now also been claimed by journalist Rudy Galetti that a full agreement is in place with Como for a six-month loan move with no purchase option.
