All of the latest Celtic transfer news this Saturday morning, including updates on Evan Ferguson, Luis Palma and Wessam Abou Ali.
Watch as Evan Ferguson bags a brace against Celtic. Is he what we are missing?
Evan Ferguson to Celtic looks unlikely
Talks of Evan Ferguson joining Celtic in the January transfer window have intensified after the Hoops’ defeat against Roma.
Ferguson impressed as he scored a brace for the Italian side, but may be heading back to Brighton & Hove Albion next month.
67 Hail Hail revealed that Ferguson was a target in the summer, but that may appear to be nothing more than a pipe dream now after Fabian Hurzeler hinted that the 21-year-old could still be in his plans.
Luis Palma won’t return to Celtic
The poor form in the attacking department at Celtic means that everyone is looking to find a solution.
One of those may be closer to home as Luis Palma continues to thrive out on loan with Lech Poznan.
There were some suggestions that the winger could return to Parkhead this winter, but the situation has been clarified and Palma will remain with Poznan until the end of the season at least.
There is an option to buy Palma permanently in his contract if they wish to extend his stay after.
Where could Luis Palma fit into Wilfried Nancy’s new Celtic system? Or should Celtic sell? Let us know in the comments.
Columbus Crew want to keep Palestine international
As expected, some players from Columbus Crew have been tipped to reunite with Wilfried Nancy in Glasgow.
Palestine international Wessam Abou Ali only joined Columbus in July 2025 but is already impressing and could be in line for a reunion.
However, general manager Issa Tall has seemingly ruled out any chance of Abou Ali joining Celtic.

He said: “Wessam was promised — and it’s something that he quite often refers to is that I didn’t lie to him. Meaning, he was promised one of the best clubs in MLS.
“Wessam did not sign because we had Wilfried Nancy. He didn’t know who Wilfried was. So, Wessam came for the Columbus Crew and he needs to stay because it’s the Columbus Crew.”
