Celtic told that Jakob Breum would be an ‘exceptional’ signing
Celtic had a bid for Jakob Breum rejected earlier this year after the Hoops were way off Go Ahead Eagles’ valuation of £5m.
Breum has been compared to Dusan Tadic after his exceptional Eredivisie campaign where the 21-year-old scored 13 times and registered eight assists.
One Danish expert said that Breum had been ‘incredible’ in the Netherlands and that he would be a brilliant signing for the Bhoys.
“He’s a fast player with a high technical level. He can create chances for his teammates but also for himself and his finishing is at a good level,” he continued.
“He is creative, agile and very fun to watch. His passing is at a high level, and you can play him both centrally and as a winger.”
Jeffrey Schlupp completes Norwich City transfer
On Wednesday it was reported that Norwich City had beaten Celtic in the race to sign Jeffrey Schlupp.
The former Ghana international spent the second half of last season on loan in Glasgow but has decided to link up with the Championship club instead.
Speaking to Norwich’s social channels, he said: “I’m really excited, it’s something new again but a lot to look forward to back in the Championship at a big club.
“I’ve spoken to the head coach about the plan for this year and I am excited to be involved.
“I’m looking forward to meeting all the players and hopefully we can create something special this year.”
Brendan Rodgers promises more transfers
It’s been a busy transfer already with seven new arrivals at Parkhead but there is still a need for more.
A left-footed centre-back, wingers and even a first-choice number nine still appear to be on the radar.
With a month to go until the end of the transfer window, there isn’t a need to panic just yet and Rodgers has an exciting message for fans.
He said: “we still have work to do in the market. I think it’s very clear where our gaps are – in our front line, where we need support.”
