Celtic ‘monitoring’ Odsonne Edouard situation

According to French journalist Sebastien Vidal, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is ‘considering’ a swoop to bring Odsonne Edouard back to the club.

Edouard was sold to Crystal Palace in August 2021 for £14m after scoring 87 goals in 179 appearances for the Hoops.

His time at Palace started well, scoring twice on Premier League debut, but he hasn’t been able to replicate that impact since.

Edouard has scored 21 goals in 103 games for the London outfit and spent the latter half of last season on loan to Leicester City, failing to net in six outings.

Cercle Brugge ‘in danger of losing’ Flavio Nazinho to Celtic

Celtic have Portuguese U21 left-back and Cercle Brugge starlet Flavio Nazinho high on their transfer shortlist this summer.

That’s according to Belgian outlet HLN, who state that Cercle are ‘in danger of losing’ Nazinho to the Scottish Premiership champions.

The Hoops currently have Kieran Tierney and Hayato Inamura as left-backs at the club, while Celtic B’s Mitchel Frame could also be called upon.

Expected transfer fee for Shin Yamada changes

Celtic may only be required to pay £1.2m for striker Shin Yamada, according to the Daily Record.

The original quoted fee was £1.5m, so the Hoops could be getting an even better deal for the Japanese international.

Yamada was an unused substitute on Tuesday as Japan beat South Korea 1-0 in the final of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship.

Kwon offered £173k per year by FK Austria Wien

Celtic outcast Kwon Hyeok-kyu could be sold for less than £200k to FK Austria Wien.

And it is being reported by Fussball Europa that the midfielder is being offered a weekly wage of roughly £3,300 to join the Austrian side.

Kwon hasn’t played a single competitive game for the Bhoys since joining at the start of Brendan Rodgers’ second tenure for £1m.

He has played for St Mirren and Hibs on loan since his move to Scotland in the summer of 2023.
