Celtic are already attempting to land a real transfer coup and bring back a superstar they sold for £25million.
Kieran Tierney is closing in on a stunning Hoops return on the cheap which will have to go down as one of the masterstroke moves the club has ever made in the transfer market.
Of course, it all depends on how the left-back performs upon his expected return but landing him at 27-years-old on what would likely be a minimal fee is a move which must be applauded.
Brendan Rodgers wants wingers in this window as well as a striker and Celts have been linked with numerous including Raul Moro of Real Valladolid before his shocker of an injury and Royal Antwerp’s Michel-Ange Balikwisha.
One player who surely must be considered for another special homecoming would be Jota who has struggled seriously since leaving Parkhead for Al-Ittihad in 2023.

Celtic could land Jota for a shock transfer fee
Jota was bombed out in Saudi before he would eventually leave for Rennes in Ligue 1 but he has flopped in France, too, and is now believed to be allowed to leave the club this window.
According to Fanatik in Turkish media, the Portuguese playmaker has been offered by his agency – led by super agent Jorge Mendes – to Trabzonspor as he looks for a fresh start for his client.
The club are believed to prefer a loan move for the player.
Yet the same publication claims a fee of around €8million or £6.7m would be enough to land the winger who can depart this month.
Jota joining Kieran Tierney at Celtic would be a fan’s dream January
It is a staggering fee for a player who was a standout in Glasgow during his initial loan stint and then his permanent season.
Jota would go on to score 28 goals and provide 26 assists in all competitions from 96 appearances.
In fact, the fee Jota is going for now is just a few quid more than Celts paid for his services two years ago.
If they really are considering what would be another brilliant return for their fan favourite, at just 25 he could go on to be sold for a high value again down the line and represent even more bang for the buck.
And that is even though Nicolas Kuhn’s stats have outstripped Jota’s during his time in Scotland.
