Celtic have been linked with countless transfer options this month.

Brendan Rodgers knew all along he wanted a striker and that is because Kyogo made his manager aware early in the season that he fancied a crack elsewhere.

The Japanese did move to Rennes but Celts are yet to bring in a replacement for the 30-year-old who moved to Rennes last week.

Mathias Kvistgaarden is an unlikely January switch despite being scouted by Celtic as recently as November.

Kelechi Iheanacho was a loan target but we told you how the Nigerian would not be moving to Glasgow and would instead join Middlesbrough in the EFL Championship this evening.

At left-back there are also options including Tyrell Malacia from Manchester United while Kieran Tierney won’t leave Arsenal this month after the Gunners told Celts they wanted to keep him for the final six months of his contract.

Celtic want Lennon Miller in a £4million deal

Those are the big positions Celtic surely need before tonight’s window closes but there was a surprising link this morning in Motherwell’s Lennon Miller.

Celtic have always been keen on the 18-year-old who has captained the Steelmen this season before picking up a knock.

But 67 Hail Hail understands his club do not want to sell this month and will wait until the summer to explore their options.

It is understood the ‘Well want more than £4million for their talisman player who has a big future ahead of him but they have not officially set an asking price.

Miller has managed 26 appearances for his club this term so far and nabbed four goals and six assists in that time.

He played very well for his side when the Hoops rolled into Fir Park back in October and although it ended in defeat for Miller and co. the youngster played well beyond his years.

He was unavailable for Motherwell when Celts beat them 3-1 last weekend with an ankle injury.

Motherwell chief executive Brian Caldwell was recently asked about Miller.

The midfielder is seen as a serious talent at Fir Park.

And the CEO insisted his side are in no rush to cash-in on their player.

Caldwell, when discussing Miller’s future, took a calm approach.

What Motherwell’s CEO said about Miller’s future

He said: “We are all realistic to realise there will come a time when Lennon will move on. He is an extremely talented player who we all see every week.

“But that time will only come when the deal is right for the club and the player. We have a really good relationship with his agent. We spoke only last week.

“We’re not in a rush to sell Lennon, we don’t need to sell him.

“But it’s not all about us, it’s about Lennon too. He is playing games every week which is the most important thing for his development and if he continues to develop the way he is we understand for his own development he’d probably need to go to a higher level, potentially.

“We need to bide our time and make sure when that time comes it’s the right deal for the club and the player.”
